Can't say enough good things about Scott Plank and his physical therapy approach. I have had knee and shoulder surgeries that he has helped me rehab from. My results were excellent. Most recently I had a knee replaced and Scott was key in getting me back to full range of motion and functionality. He is patient, caring, and listens to his patient's concerns. He is great at tailoring rehab sessions to make his patients as comfortable as possible while still achieving optimum results. An incredible subject matter expert in physiology up to speed on the latest treatment techniques... Scott is simply the best!!!

Scott is very good at what he does. He was able to get my elbow extension to where it needed to be. He also shares little stories/anecdotes that keep me engaged and helped me with my overall health goals. Not many people appreciate the staff apart from the physician. Angela, is pretty much the best reception I have ever gotten calling in a clinic. She recognizes people when calling an and is receptive to the circumstances of what a person might be going through. In other physiotherapy clinics, if I had an emergency I would need to pay $75 for canceling, here I get another appointment and another appointment soon enough for me to come in and work my routine. You folks are great.

I broke my tibia and fibula in my right ankle that required surgery to add two plates and screws to provide the needed support & healing. Dr. Scott was recommended to me by Sutter Health. I started PT 6 weeks after surgery. I remember calling for an appt. and Angela got me in within a few days! To my surprise they had appts. starting at 7 am and this was helpful as I could not drive and needed to rely on family support. From the first day I met Dr. Scott I felt heard, seen, and supported. He took the time to understand where I was physically and emotionally and then got me started on the road to recovery. He is very attentive with his patients, giving them the right encouragement to push forward as well as ensuring we are doing the exercises with the right form to progress forward. So much of healing is not only the physical side but also mental. Dr. Scott did an amazing job working through that with me so I felt comfortable walking, pushing myself to go up & down stairs, being more agile on my feet, and I've been able to go back to hiking again! I'm forever thankful! Ending physical therapy was bittersweet! The City Sport Physical Therapy team and patients became part of my extended family! As people ask me whom I would recommend as a PT the only name I give is Dr. Scott! If you reach out to him know that you'll be in great hands!

I ruptured my Achilles playing soccer and went non-op. I had a few set backs in my recovery including PT so I had mostly no hope not only to think in playing sports again but to walk or using the stairs without discomfort or pain. I switched health provider and decided to visit Dr. Scott Plank I guess, I thought I was going to give my foot a last try. Since day one I felt comfortable with Dr. Plank, he took the time to listen to my whole story (my injury and the attempt to recover). He understood everything, as a person, patient and as a soccer player. He is very knowledgeable and has a vast experience in many areas. He understands how the human body functions and how it does when a sport is played so he treated my injury with respect, professionalism and took me step by step. He was identifying my progress and how I could improve. He made me work hard and helped me to know my limits but also to motivate me to identify how far I could get. He changed my state of mind and in the end, not only I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort in my Achilles but I strengthened my lower body and actually I ended to be more strong and fit than before the injury. Happily I returned to play soccer, tennis, etc and have no issues. I think Dr. Plank helped me to understand better my body and how to run, sprint, jump and adapting it while playing sports so I prevent injuries and improve my functioning. THANK YOU DR. PLANK! The cherry in the pie was all the sports related conversations that we had and te oranges he brings from home to share with the patients. Andrea, his assistant is very kind and nice and makes you feel also very happy about PT.

Dr. Scott (City Sport Physical Therapy) is an amazing and effective physical therapist, with years of extensive experience under his belt. Dr. Scott and his staff are also super hard working. They're pretty much available year round and never on vacation, which works out great for patients who have more time to go to physical therapy during and around standard holiday breaks. Under his treatment and guidance for a bit over a year, I more or less fully recovered from a very nasty ankle injury. I regained all the abilities I lost with the injury, and I am now able to go about my daily life with both of my legs "feeling equivalent", that is to say my injured leg now feels very comparable to my non-injured leg. Elaborating more on my injury and recovery timeline, I injured my ankle near the end of August 2022. I slipped and tripped while ice skating. As I fell, my left foot took my entire body weight. In that brief moment of falling, I felt a sudden unnerving sensation. Next thing I knew, I was lying on the ice unable to get up. Immediately, I couldn't use my left foot anymore. I couldn't stand on it. I couldn't even put my shoe back on. Any perturbation whatsoever caused pain. In the following days, I learned I snapped my fibula in half, fractured the back part of my tibia, dislocated my foot, tore a ligament connecting my tibia to the talus, and tore the syndesmosis between my tibia and fibula. Shortly after, I underwent surgery #1 to put everything back together. Six weeks later, my surgeon instructed me to start physical therapy. I received a list of physical therapy clinics in South Bay and started calling ones near me, one by one. Dr. Scott's was the second location I called, but they had availability to see me the following day, so I took the opportunity without much thought. Looking back, I am so glad things panned out that way. Since starting physical therapy, I had two more follow-up surgeries. In January 2023, I underwent surgery #2, to remove a syndesmosis screw that was holding my fibula and tibia together. In September 2023, I underwent surgery #3 to remove the rest of the hardware (i.e., the remaining screws and plate). Throughout the entire process, Dr. Scott remained cognizant and caring of my upcoming surgeries and overall recovery plan. He would adjust his treatment depending on my abilities, particularly when I returned to his clinic following my surgeries. In addition to the focus on recovering physical ability incrementally, Dr. Scott, his staff, and even his other patients have all been instrumental in fostering a super supportive and positive environment. We were all in some kind of pain and fighting our own personal battles, but we were all working hard to see a better tomorrow. By the end of my time there, I truly felt that I would miss the place, and reminisce about this period of my life as a fond memory. I believe my feelings at the end of this journey speaks volumes about the importance of physical therapy and the amazingness of Dr. Scott's physical therapy clinic.
